An invitation to prayerful discernment—no pressure or obligation.
We’re a Spirit-filled network of disciple-making communities helping people follow Jesus, become like Him, and do the things He did.

Arise Dothan is being planted for the unchurched, the dechurched, and even the over-churched—for people who are looking for a fresh start with God, a spiritual family, and a place to grow as disciples of Jesus.
I didn’t grow up in church, so I understand what it feels like to be unsure, unchurched, and searching. Jesus used the quiet witness of an aunt and uncle—and the steady love of a youth pastor—to change my life.
I’ve also walked through real brokenness. After my divorce more than twenty-five years ago, I wondered if life and ministry were over. But Jesus never let go. In His grace He restored me, gave me a new beginning, a wonderful marriage, and even blessed our family with a daughter later in life.
Arise Dothan is being planted out of that story of grace. We believe Jesus is still calling people to arise—to follow Him, become like Him, and do the things He did.
Across our city, disciple-making communities are forming where people worship Jesus together, share life as spiritual family, and live on mission in everyday life.
If you’ve ever felt like church wasn’t for you—or that God was finished with your story—Arise is a place where you can come as you are and discover that Jesus is still writing the next chapter.
Vision
We see people in Dothan following Jesus, becoming like Him, and doing what He did.
Mission
Multiplying disciple-making communities across the city.
We center our lives on Jesus through Scripture, prayer, worship, and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit—seeking to know God personally, not just talk about Him.
We welcome people as they are and walk with them in grace—creating communities where everyone is seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.
We serve others with the humility of Jesus—showing up with love, meeting real needs, and partnering with others for the good of our city.
We respond to God’s goodness with generosity—freely giving our time, resources, and lives for the good of others and the mission of Jesus.
We steward what God has entrusted to us with care—preparing well and doing our work in a way that honors God and serves people well.
We choose gratitude, hope, and joy in every season—trusting that God is at work and celebrating what He is doing among us.

We’re creating simple, clear pathways that help people follow Jesus, grow as disciples, and live His mission in everyday life.
Step 1
Move Down - Discipleship
Disciple-making communities where people follow Jesus together, grow in Scripture and prayer, and help one another become more like Him.
Step 2
Move In - Community
Authentic relationships where people share life together, practice hospitality, and support one another as spiritual family.
Step 3
Move Out - Mission
Living the way of Jesus in everyday life—serving our neighbors, loving our city, and sharing the hope of Christ wherever we are.
Step 4
Move Up - Worship
Gatherings where we worship the risen Jesus together, listen to Scripture, and celebrate what God is doing across our communities.

Arise Dothan is currently in a formation season as we gather people, pray together, and begin forming disciple-making communities across our city.
During this season, we’re meeting for fellowship, prayer, and Scripture as we grow together and discern what God is forming among us.
We gather informally on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the upstairs gathering space at Mural City Coffee. These mornings are relaxed times where we share coffee, pray together, reflect on Scripture, and build relationships.
On the 4th Sunday of each month from 4:00–5:30 p.m., we host an Interest Night at Mural City Coffee. This is a relaxed evening where you can hear the story, vision, and heart behind Arise Dothan.
We also serve with Love in Action Ministries on the 2nd Saturday of each month, loving our neighbors and seeking the good of our city.
Along the way, we regularly share meals and enjoy time together as a growing community.
You’re welcome to come, listen, ask questions, and see if Arise might become a place where you can follow Jesus and grow with others.

Brian and Jaclyn Turner serve together as the pastors of Arise Dothan, where their calling is to help people follow Jesus, grow as disciples, and live His mission in everyday life.
Brian and Jaclyn love Jesus, love the local church, and love the city of Dothan. Both were born and raised in the Wiregrass and carry a deep desire to see the life of Jesus take root across their hometown.
Brian has a passion for forming disciples who follow Jesus deeply and live their faith faithfully in everyday life. He is completing his Master of Divinity at The King’s University in May 2026 and is preparing to pursue doctoral studies.
Jaclyn has a deep heart for worship, women, families, and those walking through difficult seasons. She holds a Master of Christian Life Coaching and Counseling from Liberty University and brings wisdom, compassion, and encouragement to the life of the church.
Together they are raising their daughter in the Lord and helping cultivate Arise Dothan as a Spirit-filled network of disciple-making communities rooted in Scripture and attentive to the Holy Spirit.
When they’re not gathering with people or serving the community, Brian and Jaclyn enjoy time with their daughter, sharing meals with friends, and life in the Wiregrass they’ve always called home.
Their desire is simple: to see people healed, formed as disciples of Jesus, and empowered to live His mission in everyday life.

An invitation to prayerfully explore what God may be forming through Arise Dothan—no pressure or obligation.
We’re asking God to gather a community of people who will pray, serve, give, and help cultivate disciple-making communities across our city.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t need a church background. All that’s needed is a willing heart and a desire to see people in Dothan encounter Jesus.
Just walk with us for a while and see where God leads.
Pray regularly for Arise Dothan and our city
Serve our neighbors and our community
Give as God leads to support the mission
Invite friends, family, and neighbors into the journey
If that sounds like you, we’d love to connect.
No pressure. No obligation. Just an opportunity to discern together what God might do.
Arise Dothan is sustained by the generosity of people who believe in its mission to help others follow Jesus, become like Him, and do the things He did.
